Vision of the Academic Support Unit:

Creating a scientifically distinguished generation of students capable of competing in the labor market.

Mission of the Academic Support Unit:

Providing scientific assistance, social and psychological guidance to help outstanding students and support struggling students to overcome their problems in general and academically in particular.

Objectives of the Academic Support Unit:

  • Support outstanding students to maintain their excellence and ensure its continuity.
  • Provide assistance to struggling students to identify the causes of their difficulties and help them overcome their educational challenges.

Tasks of the Academic Support Unit:

First: The unit is responsible for supporting academically outstanding students and those distinguished in student activities.

  • Prepare reports on academically, sports, and artistic outstanding students.
  • Provide academic support to outstanding students by involving them in free training courses to enhance their study skills.
  • Honor outstanding students academically, in sports, arts, and any other fields, through the Excellence Day organized by the unit.
  • Provide financial grants to outstanding students by exempting them from part of the tuition fees.

Second: The unit is responsible for supporting academically struggling students.

  • Collaborate with the Student Affairs Department to understand the academic situation of students.
  • Examine the applications of students requesting support.
  • Prepare files and reports on the cases of struggling students and ways to support and guide them.
  • Coordinate with the Attendance Department to monitor students’ attendance through warning rates and penalties, examining reasons and alerting students.
  • Receive students’ files from academic advisors and review them to support students and remove obstacles.
