Vision of the Quality Assurance Unit:
Establish integrated systems to ensure the quality of the Institute’s educational, research, and service activities and enhance its capabilities for continuous development, ensuring the Institute obtains institutional and academic accreditation.
Mission of the Quality Assurance Unit:
The Quality Assurance Unit aims to continuously achieve institutional and academic performance quality at the Institute, ensuring continuous improvement in the quality of education, research activities, and community services according to local and international standards. It also fulfills the Institute’s mission and strategic objectives, prepares the Institute for accreditation by developing integrated systems for internal review and self-assessment, and fosters positive awareness among staff and all stakeholders regarding evaluation and continuous improvement, relying on highly qualified human resources and recognized measurement systems both locally and internationally.
Objectives of the Quality Assurance Unit:
The unit adopts objectives aligned with the Institute’s strategic goals, aiming to achieve the following:
- Support the quality assurance process at the Institute and advance educational, research, and community service activities.
- Contribute to the Institute’s development programs by strengthening areas of excellence, identifying weaknesses, and implementing necessary improvement plans.
- Assist in documenting roles and procedures for all academic and administrative departments.
- Provide recommendations to improve performance and achieve the required quality level through annual reports prepared according to the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation.
- Assist the Institute administration in implementing the strategic plan regarding quality assurance.
- Contribute to developing training plans to enhance the skills and capabilities of staff.
- Apply and develop methods and mechanisms for measurement, monitoring, evaluation, and preparation of periodic studies and reports related to quality assurance.
- Provide recommendations to the Institute management regarding continuous improvement policies and academic quality management programs and monitor their implementation.
Tasks of the Quality Assurance Unit:
- Develop and implement a plan to establish an internal quality assurance system and performance evaluation for continuous improvement.
- Participate in preparing and updating the Institute’s vision, mission, and strategic objectives in light of quality assurance.
- Promote a quality culture at all academic, student, and administrative levels and raise awareness among all internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in implementing and monitoring the strategic plan and operational plans for quality assurance.
- Review reports submitted by specialized quality committees to prepare the unit’s annual activity report.
- Prepare the annual performance evaluation report and present it to the relevant councils for approval.
- Identify training needs for faculty, staff, and students and monitor implementation.
- Coordinate between specialized quality committees and follow up on Board decisions.
- Participate in scientific meetings and conferences related to quality held externally.
- Establish mechanisms for internal and external evaluation of both academic and non-academic activities.
