Vision of the Scientific Research Unit:

Achieve scientific and research excellence for the faculty members and assistant staff at the Institute.

Mission of the Scientific Research Unit:

Enhance the scientific and research level of faculty members and assistant staff at the Institute.

Objectives of the Scientific Research Unit:

  • Discuss research issues and new topics in the fields and specializations of media.
  • Contribute to increasing awareness among faculty members and assistant staff about the latest developments in scientific research.
  • Understand the different research schools in media specializations and achieve effective communication with them.

Tasks of the Scientific Research Unit:

  • Supervise the organization of the Institute’s periodic scientific seminars.
  • Participate in planning the Institute’s annual scientific conference.
  • Follow up the Institute’s annual research plan, derived from the academic departments’ plans, and monitor its implementation steps.
  • Communicate with faculty members to monitor the execution of their research outputs.
  • Follow up with assistant staff regarding the progress in their scientific theses.
  • Provide scientific support for research outputs in the Institute’s academic departments.
  • Monitor the provision of financial support to both faculty members and assistant staff.
  • Support and promote research through studying funded group research projects and marketing faculty research related to community service and development.
  • Propose cooperation protocols and memoranda of understanding with scientific and research institutions.
  • Prepare an annual report of scientific activities organized during the academic year and present it to the Institute’s Academic Council.
