The Higher International Institute of Media was established by Ministerial Decree No. 1216 dated 9/6/2009 and initially included the following departments:

  • News Production Department
  • Media Production Department
  • Media Marketing Department

The decree was amended by Ministerial Decree No. 966 dated 19/3/2018, and it now includes the following three departments:

  • Journalism Department
  • Radio and Television Department
  • Public Relations and Advertising Department

All departments are accredited by the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education

and recognized by the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities (allowing graduates the same rights and privileges granted by public Egyptian universities, such as registration in professional syndicates and postgraduate studies).

The duration of study is 4 academic years for all departments to obtain a Bachelors degree.

Enrollment in the third year is available for all departments, and the study is conducted in Arabic.
