The annual orientation activities of the Department of Digital Radio and Television Production at the International Higher Institute of Media, El Shorouk Academy, officially launched today, Sunday, May 3, 2024, with student participation and practical activities in the fields of radio, television, and digital media production. The orientation day featured a series of events and training workshops aimed at developing students’ skills and providing them with the opportunity for hands-on experience in a real production environment, under the supervision of Dr. Fatma Shaaban, Head of the Department, and faculty members, including Dr. Lamia Soliman, who oversees the practical aspects of the workshops, particularly podcast production sessions from writing to execution. The event also included interactive sessions with several actresses, including Lina Sofia, Nancy Salah, and Elham Wagdy, who shared their artistic experiences in drama and cinema and offered advice to students on how to enter the artistic field and develop creative skills. Participants emphasized the importance of such events in linking academic study with practical application, and in providing students with direct experience that helps prepare them for the labor market in the fields of media and artistic production.
