Al-Shorouk Press" Visits Al-Masry Al-Youm Newspaper to Enhance Students' Professional Skills within Press Institutions
The Journalism Department at the International Higher Institute of Media at Al-Shorouk Academy organized a field visit to Al-Masry Al-Youm institution, as part of the joint cooperation protocol between the two parties, under the supervision of Dr. Rami Atta Sadiq, Head of the Journalism Department, and sponsored by Dr. Suheir Saleh Ibrahim, Dean of the Institute. The Al-Masry Al-Youm Training Center welcomed the delegation of Al-Shorouk Academy students, where the students became acquainted with the work environment inside the institution. They toured various journalistic departments, followed the content preparation mechanisms, passing through newsrooms, editing, and montage rooms, up to the stages of publishing on print and digital platforms. The visit comes within the Journalism Department’s plan to introduce students to the practical aspect of the profession and connect them with the real work environment inside major media institutions, contributing to refining their skills and developing their capabilities in the fields of editing, journalistic directing, data journalism, and digital production. The department head affirmed that such field visits enhance students’ readiness for the labor market and provide them with the opportunity to engage directly with real practical experiences, supporting the institute’s academic vision in preparing professional media cadres.
