Al-Shorouk Media Honors the Renowned Writer Mohamed Salmawy and Names the New Cohort After Him
The Higher International Institute of Media at Al-Shorouk Academy honored the journalist and renowned writer Mohamed Salmawy by naming the 13th graduating class of the institute after him, in recognition of his journalistic and literary career and his status as a prominent figure in journalism and media in Egypt and the Arab world.
The graduation ceremony was held under the patronage of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and attended by Major General Dr. Ahmed Abdel Rahim, Chairman of Al-Shorouk Academy Board of Trustees; Dr. Mohamed Shoman, Vice Chairman of the Board; Dr. Soheir Saleh Ibrahim, Dean of the Institute; Dr. Hossam El-Desouky, Dean of the Higher Institute of Engineering; Dr. Mohamed Salah El-Din, Dean of the Higher Institute of Computers and Information Technology; faculty members and their assistants; as well as a number of prominent figures in culture, journalism, and media.
The institute prepared a documentary film about the writer Mohamed Salmawy, directed by Dr. Elham Younis, Professor of Radio and Television and Vice Dean of the Institute. In addition, a book titled “Mohamed Salmawy: A Journey of Words and a Path of Creativity” was published, prepared by Dr. Rami Atta Sadeq, Professor and Head of the Journalism Department at the institute, along with researchers Rasha Ismail and Jihad Adel.
